We are proud to announce that we have sponsored a group of 100 students from Francis Scott Key Middle School in Montgomery County, MD to attend a day of internet safety education at this year's conference.

This program will highlight the infinite dangers of the internet. It is critical that children not only know how to be smart while participating in today’s popular online communication world, but it’s more important to know how to distinguish inappropriate behavior and report it to the proper authorities.

This virtual training program will allow students to actively participate in an investigative scenario to help authorities capture online predators while educating the children on the lurking dangers and safety tips children should be aware of and using on a daily basis.

Web Wise Kids (WWK), established in 2000 is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization. WWK is dedicated to empowering today’s youth to make wise choices online and specializes in providing easy to use, school-approved Internet safety education for youth ages 11 to 16. Today’s e-generation is taught valuable lessons in their own medium using computer games with high tech simulations based on real life criminal cases. Dorothy Lynn M. A. Ed, recently joined Web Wise Kids as our Education & Training Specialist. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Lifetime Teaching Credential and 3 Master of Arts Degrees, Dorothy has over 20 years of public school teaching experience, over 10 years as a professor at the university level, 5 years of experience as a Trainer of Trainers through the Orange County Department of Education in California, and 10 years of adult training as a corporate trainer. Her love of teaching both children and adults is apparent.
